Victor senior MJ Erb capped his last cross country season with an "AA" performance at the eighth annual Nike Cross Nationals championship Saturday in Portland, Ore.

As in All-American.

Erb ran gangbusters early, slipped back a few spots but then surged again in the last 1,000 meters to finish 18th in a career-best 15 minutes, 43 seconds on the 3.1-mile triple loop course around the muddy infield of Portland Meadows Race Track. The top 21 earn status as Nike All-Americans.
