In putting forth its most dominant performance ever, Great Oak’s girls cross country team earned an automatic bid to next week’s Nike Cross Nationals meet in Portland, Ore.

Bids for the meet are selected by “merged” results in which 16 top teams from Saturday’s CIF State Championships, regardless of division, are put together and scored like one big meet. The top two teams in each gender then earn an auto-invite to the Nike Nationals meet, which is next Saturday.
