I kind of agree with Scott, though I certainly see Tom Keyes point as well:

Either the Northwest or New York look, at this point, like the strongest boys regions. Midwest is going to be pretty tough as well - I could definitely see both teams finishing in the top 10. The Southeast is going to be strong as well, though I don't know if their history suggests that two teams in the top 10 is exactly a strong possibility (but hey, Blacksburg did break through last year, so it can be done). Best chances of having two teams towards the top, though, are the NW and NY in some order.

Southwest girls being the top region is a strong possibility IMO. Those teams are just TOUGH.



As for who is going to win... I feel like that is worthy of a separate thread/poll. :)

If I was making odds for the boys race at NXN I'd still make CBA the favorite. Yes, FM had a faster average on the same course Saturday but CBA rested 1 runner and had at least 1 other fall during the race.

Watch out for Arcadia! They had a very strong showing at CA state.
American Fork, CBA, Gig and maybe F-M are in the mix

I hear you on the NY boys. FM is going to be very tough and Northport showed they are legit. I could see NY beating the NW, but I am sticking with experience and strengths of the NW squads.
